Who controlled the Middle East?
I came across this animated map of the history of Middle East rulers along 5000 years. It is interesting and worth exploring
Here it is (you need flash to view this map)

Though I doubt some maps, it’s really interesting to know that every single nation of the old world ruled or controlled the middle-east for quite a while; I guess it’s the new world’s turn now.
the question is why?… if u noticed the least occupied or ruled if any at all was Saudi Arabia.

[...] Well, to think that they teach you much in History, it’s certainly not enough. Over the passed week, I’ve bumped into this documentary called ” The Empires of Faith ” that was one of the most fascinating programs that I’ve ever seen. It covered Islam’s history, and the history of the Middle-East. For approximately 3 hours, I was sitting there mesmerized in the film, watching the time line and history unraveling. The fall of the Islamic estate was due to the Mongols, they burned the libraries of Baghdad, and destroyed too much. Though them converting into the religion, and well, trying to build something again, didn’t quite return the entity to it’s stature. The film is long, it covered quite a few eras, and was quite interesting.Khalidah posted something on this topic just a few days ago, Who controlled the Middle East – if you’ve found that interesting, then have a look for the film. [...] I hope you remember the time I posted the summarized history lesson about the Middle East and who controlled it, because the site from which I got that lesson has led me to another interesting one … just take a look at the below flash movie … It seems they were always in a state of war or maybe I should say: unnecessary war most of the time!!!
