People of Egypt cant afford going to shrinks or buying antidepressants, so they just tend to smile to ease it a bit. o|c they don't smile all the time, but they just tend to do so most of the time. Thats something I've learned while living in Egypt...no matter how bad is your life, just give it a smile to light it up a bit. About the good humored Egyptians, it's just part of the culture. Your average Egyptian has a better sense of humor than the Average Arab from any other nation, but this is debatable of course.
